From the very first contact, you have been such a professional, but friendly, team. 

I was very impressed with the speed at which the house particulars were put onto your website – less than a day from you coming personally, Karen, with your camera, to the house appearing on site.

The most important aspect of your service, though, is the contact from you.  We had e-mails two or three times a week (and on occasion 2 a day!) each time a viewing was arranged.  It was always quite exciting to receive those, I can tell you.  We have been looking over them again and you arranged around 20 viewings, 16 of them were from different parties.  I reckon we probably had more viewings with you in 8 weeks than many house sellers have had in a year.

We had had our house on the market for 18 months with another Agent who, in that time, had called us to make 3 viewings but only 1 of them actually turned up.

We had heard Karen Potter was like a “Dog with a Bone” in her approach to selling property, (Pedigree!) so we approached her to see what she could do.  After instructing them, they sent us 20 viewers (who turned up) and just over three months later, we’ve legally completed the sale at the full asking price.

I want to thank Karen, Steven, Carol and Eric for their kindness, courteousness and sheer professionalism conducting the sale of my parents’ house. It took me four years and my Father’s move into a nursing home to succeed in persuading them to sell but then a wonderful man recommended Karen Potter Estate Agents and we were helped every step of the way.

We must have been amongst the ‘Clients From Hell’ – I live miles away and wanted all viewings accompanied, after 10am and not in the evenings unless they were on my days off. Mum at 83 and physically incapacitated grew to love the visits from the estate agents (Steven in particular!) who made time to have a quick chat and always checked that the house was secure before they left.

Karen kept us both informed every step of the way and was endlessly positive and upbeat, a tremendous source of helpful contacts. Mum refers to her as “The Girl Who Knows Everything And Everyone”! All estate agencies want to buy and sell property and some may, like Karen Potter, put a lot of effort in to their jobs but I doubt you will find all staff in one agency who put in 100% effort, genuinely care for people/their customers and getting things right for them as we have found.

I specified what I was looking for and was sent a good selection to choose from.  On selecting the apartment I liked, I was escorted around the property two or three times by staff who were courteous and informative.

I placed my property for sale with Karen Potter The Estate Agent.  After 7 days, a prospective purchaser came to view, careful negotiations converted their interest into a sale and following intensive chasing by Karen and her team, contracts were exchanged less than 5 weeks later.  

I have bought and sold many properties over the years and I do not believe you have a sale until contracts have been exchanged.  I am astounded with what I have just experienced with “Karen Potter The Estate Agent” because I have never, ever experienced results as these, incredible taking into account the current economy.   Having said all this, it did take them 7 days to sell my property.  Just what were they doing for the other 6 days?  I can only assume they were sat on their backsides doing nothing.

I first put my house on the market with a company that went into administration but didn't tell me that this was happening.  Only found out because people were telling me that it had been removed from Rightmove etc.  I then went to the 2nd agent who gave me what turned out to be a ridiculous valuation (far too high).  This obviously appealed - why wouldn't it?  A much lower offer was made and I was advised not to accept, the offer never came forward again.  It was then lowered and lowered again on their advice (20% in the space of a few months)!!!

I lost confidence and after a recomendation from someone I trusted, I approached Karen.  She was brilliant and dealt with everything with true passion. Along with Steven they soothed my furrowed brow and came up with a marketing strategy which worked.  I have now sold, moved and can get on with living again.
